Aneessa: From Saint-Étienne to the World, a Journey of Resilience and Music

Born in Saint-Étienne, France, she has always been a force of movement and transformation. From early days immersed in dance and music, she knew performing was her passion. Under the stage names Anya Rose and Lady Aneessa, she conquered the European and Asian dance scenes. But the journey wasn’t just about performance—it became about helping others. Today, as the Publisher and CEO of Pump It Up Magazine and The Sound of L.A., she dedicates herself to guiding and inspiring emerging artists.

Her story is one of resilience, embracing challenges, and moving forward. Having lived and worked across France, England, and now Los Angeles, she found a new chapter in life. Reconnecting with Motown producer Michael B. Sutton reignited her passion for music. Together, they co-produced her latest album, a smooth blend of jazz and urban adult contemporary sounds.

Her journey is about breaking boundaries and following dreams, no matter how many twists the path takes. Her music reflects her experiences—uplifting, empowering, and full of heart. With tracks like “Saint-Étienne,” inspired by reconnection with her mother and spiritual growth, she invites listeners to find peace and strength in their own lives. As an artist, mentor, and entrepreneur, she continues to inspire others to pursue their dreams with courage and grace.

“My mother elevated me spiritually and mentally,” Aneessa confesses. “All my life she wasn’t there then suddenly she was there – with great wisdom. I was like the black sheep of the family – the only one to leave home and not start a family. Still, I was not ashamed to come back home. When I did, my mother gave me my wings to fly, telling me to speak to God and everything will be fine. And when I flew, God connected me to great people.”

This time spent back home with her mom inspired the song “Saint-Étienne” that appears on her new album. Watch music video >>
