  1. Back To Life: Aneessa puts forth a brilliant display of musical elegance in this wonderful cover of the epic hit Back To Life (However Do You Want Me), originally recorded by  Soul II Soul.  Aneessa’s version of the track uniquely reinvents the original rhythms of this classic with jazz embroidery.

Aneessa weaves an incredible atmosphere of vocalization with a heartwarming lead and enchanting backing and overdub harmonization. Aneessa’s vocals ride upon the waves of an incredible instrumental cast that is led by saxophone, rhythm guitar, keyboards, and a streaming bassline that work together in creating an irresistible groove. Just To Be With You: A smooth jazz melody with a memorable theme, Aneessa’s innovative sense of lyrical prose comes to life in a song that perfectly paints a picture of some of the challenges that interracial couples may experience, or people who fall in love from different religious faiths. Despite the division that exists in the world, Aneessa illustrates the great healing force of love, even within the world of romance.

Another amazing thing about this composition is the exquisite riffs of saxophone that the production. It is quite transcendent in its conversation with the piano and melts with shadow of Aneessa’s vocals. Just To Be With You is a wonderful song that is equally inspiring.

           3. Saint-Etienne: A stirring and passionate performance by Aneessa in a song about her hometown. Saint-Etienne affords Aneessa the opportunity to bare her soul and vulnerabilities. It’s a bittersweet journey embedded over a flourishing and vibrant bed of instrumentation. As an artist born in France, Aneessa describes a childhood of few friends and with dreams of a bigger world, she was challenged in many ways. Despite the painful memories, she reaffirms her resolve to leave her hometown behind her.

Saint-Etienne captures a world feel musically with a striking classical guitar lead and several Latin percussive sounds. It’s an easy groove that embellishes a nostalgic vibe appropriate for a journey into the past.

        4. I Found Myself in You

A lovely duet featuring the vocal expertise of singer/songwriter Michael B. Sutton. The track’s elegant sound adds to the album’s continuity as the listener is exposed to a different side of Aneessa.
